Our history
This congregation held its first worship service in September 1957 at the original location on South Cooper Street. 40 members attended. Four men were responsible for starting this congregation The first elders were installed on 1965. There have been 3 ministers since the start of this church. Delbert Smith served from 1963-1965. Delos Johnson began serving in 1966. David Kelley began his ministry here in 1989.
In 1972 the leadership and congregation began plans for a new building which is the present location. The first service at this location took place on December 21, 1975 with 164 people present.
Construction of the Family Center began in January 1993. This facility is still used.
The congregation has been active in mission work in Mexico and local ministries as well.
